Procedure Compact_HX_ND('p_plate-fin_s397', Re: f,j_H) is a non-dimensional procedure that returns the friction factor and the Colburn j factor for external flow through plain plate-fins with surface 3.97 given the Reynolds number. The values calculated are based on a best fit curve to experimental data. These data are from Kays and London (1984) p. 224.
