Strip-fin plate-fin, surface 1/6-12.18(D)
Procedure Compact_HX_ND('sf_plate-fin_s16-1218D', Re: f,j_H) is a non-dimensional procedure that returns the friction factor and the Colburn j factor for external flow through strip-fin plate-fins with surface 1/6-12.18(D) given the Reynolds number. The values calculated are based on a best fit curve to experimental data. These data are from Kays and London (1984) p. 250.
