CarbonylSulfide

CarbonylSulfide provides high accuracy thermodynamic properties for carbonyl sulfide (carbon oxide sulfide, COS, MW 60.075 g/gmole, CAS No. 463-58-1) using the Fundamental Equation of State presented in:

Short Fundamental Equations of State for 20 Industrial Fluids

Eric W. Lemmon, Roland Span

J. Chem. Eng. Data, 2006, 51 (3), 785-850

The correlation is valid for temperatures in the range between triple point at 134.3K to 650 K for pressures less than 50 MPa.

Enthalpy and entropy values are referenced to 200 kJ/kg and 1 kJ/kg-K respectively for saturated liquid at 273.15 K.

Transport properties are provided using correlations given in:

Yaws, Carl L., ed. Chemical Properties Handbook. New York: McGraw-Hill, 1999.

Surface tension data are provided using the information in:

Mulero, A., Cachadina, I, and Parra, M.

"Recommended Correlations for the Surface Tension of Common Fluids"

J.Phys. Chem Ref. Data, Vol. 41, No.4, 2012

Lennard Jones potentials are from Reid, Prausnitz, and Sherwood, The Properties of Gases and Liquids, McGraw-Hill, 3rd ed, 1977.
